How to modify script parameters?
Monday, 3 July 2017 08:00If you want to change a lot size or to modify other trading settings (for example, manual trading), you will need to adjust script parameters. To do this, follow the instructions:
- Click on the script with the right mouse button and select 'Edit' in the MT4 terminal.
- The MetaEditor application window opens so that you can modify the script settings. Be careful and do not change anything superfluous. Otherwise, the script can stop working!
- To save the changes in the code, you must click the 'Compile' button, after that MetaEditor window will be closed. Script settings have been modified.
Changing script parameters, one should make sure that they do not contradict the chosen strategy. Otherwise, these mini-programs will be contradictory and often even absurd.
In general, you should remember that the MetaEditor text editor is used to develop and modify script settings. Therefore, you should learn the work of this editor immediately after installing the trading platform. The list of available scripts can be viewed in the "Navigator” – “Scripts." Scripts management is similar to advisors and custom indicators management.
