What are the main reasons why script doesn’t work?

Despite the fact that scripts have rather limited functionality, these robot assistants perform rather complex calculations, and all kinds of actions are done much faster. Therefore, the assistance of scripts is difficult to overestimate. But, unfortunately, as in any other program, failures occur in the work of robots too. It is necessary to understand the principle of its operation and also to check all the set parameters to figure out why the script in MT4 does not work.

Most often, starting to work with the MetaTrader4 platform, traders just forget to set a trade authorization. To change this setting, you need to open the "Expert Advisors" tab in the "Adjustment" window (Tools tab) and set the line "Allow the Expert Advisors to trade."

There are also cases when the script is written with errors, or it is referred to a particular trading account and, therefore, does not trade on any other accounts. In that case, it is recommended to install another platform. It is also possible that you have inflated the lot or exceeded the size of the deposit, while the script settings have specific limitations. Afterward, you need to change the script's settings for your tasks.
