How to assign hotkeys for the script?

One of the additional features of the MetaTrader 4 platform is a possibility of using a significant number of hotkeys, which allow you to perform the desired action in just a few clicks.

The primary function of hotkeys and their combinations on MetaTrader 4 platform is quick executions of various commands without accessing menus or control panels.

To activate this option, one needs to open a list of scripts in the navigation window, and click the right mouse button right on the script you need, and select the function "Assign a hotkey." After the script runs, it will automatically respond to the previously set key (the revocation speed is usually not more than a second.)

Hotkeys allow you to perform such actions as code editing, transaction deferral, open or control of the chart window, copying or deleting objects and much more. In total, there are several dozens of such keys or their combinations.

Also, you should know that the MetaEditor text editor is used to develop and modify script settings. Therefore, you should familiarize yourself with the work of this editor immediately after installing the trading platform. The list of available scripts can be viewed in "Navigator” – “Scripts." Scripts management is similar to Expert Advisors and Custom Indicators management.
